The project borns from the idea of the gentle veil of the Virgin; the concave curve of the facade expresses the sense of treatment, and this concept is rerepeated in the soft inner spaces and in the forms of the dome delicately placed on the main aula. Externally this concept involves all the forms, so a unique sign links all the parts.The facade bends itself to attract attention and observant fluxes; its shadows creates an evocative sign, interrupted by the presence of an olive tree whose represents peace and a recovered alliance with nature. Outside some fundamentals signs show building vocation with its big parvise, the concave facade, the sectioned dome and the standing out of the bell tower; all these things are thought to being visible from a lot of directions and to guide observants in their walk towards the church. The desire to express feminine Gracefulness and Maternal treatment guided formal choices both inside and outside. The minor signs take their forms form historical centre of Calenzano. The colour, bright, aims to suggest the sense of pureness.
