The project includes two buildings and their environmental accommodations: a three-storey building for the Departments of Biology and Agricultural Science and a two-storey building for the new library of scientific pole. The Library has a more institutional role, with a large staircase and large access portals that lead to the atrium, from where it's possible to admire the large inner hall and the books as a strong representation of culture. The building for the Departments of Biology (DIPI) and Agricultural Sciences (DISA), seeking a synthesis between interior functionality and architectural expression. With its shape the building try to represent on a symbolic level a link between the study that will hosted in these spaces and the nature that is investigated, finding its organic forms in the landscape, in the vegetable world, in the figures that make up the genetic structures of living beings: the chromosomes.
