The main idea is the creation of a social aggregation centre - the Oratory at the end of Martiri del Padule square - and of not only a square but a continuos and articulated system of squares; this place will be the new civic centre for Cintolese. The system of squares will be the starting point for a new urban design in this area, it will be not a place randomly built but clearly designed with liveable urban spaces, gardens, green boulevards. So, w ewant to rethink city starting from human being and we also want to rethink our town centre characters, linking together landscape architecture and italian tradition. The parvis and the civic square need volumetric polarities and they need to be partially closed on their sides. The square has also to be a contemporary and informal place because it's a meeting place for people and cultural values. At the static, solid and closed traditional square, we have to substitute a fluid, dynamic and contemporary one.
