The search for a structure extremely representative of functional aspects as long as local characters is one of the key theme of the project. Some linear marks, typical of road infrastructures, are set according to a landscaping design aiming to transfer in the project area the surrounding area elements and design to create a monumental presence in accordance with the landscape. The project try to create a new Gate for the city of Oristano, for tourists and commuters, especially a gate for travellers, with rituals and symbolic values of the threshold and the entrance, representing at the same time a kind of summary of the architectural and urban character of the city. The station is conceived as a narrative of the sets and scenes that will accompany the journey into the city, recalling the solid and material character of its architectural presence, no less than the compressed and dynamic space of its streets.
